About the event
Open Hurdle
- Race over Hurdles. Distance will depend on the people who enter the race. For horses that have run over hurdles in a sanctioned race. Catchweights.
Maiden Hurdle
- Race over Hurdles. Distance will depend on the people who enter the race. For horses that have never won over hurdles in a sanctioned race. Catchweights.
Flat Race for Racing Horses
- One mile on the flat open to racing horses. Catchweights.
(the above races can be split to accommodate more horses)
Draft Horse Flat Race
- ½ a mile on the flat for horse of Draft variety.
Pony Race (Flat)
- Small
- Small to medium ponies racing ½ mile on the flat. Up the hill on the Callaway course. Going left handed.
- Large
- Larger ponies racing a half mile around the course. Going right handed.
Fieldmasters Race
- Junior
- Junior riders follow a fieldmaster jumping obstacles with a ½ mile race the finish
- Senior
- Adult riders follow a fieldmaster jumping obstacle with a ½ mile race to the finish.
There will be a Survey Tape Puissance after the last race and a ride a buck. Other races can be added if the participants wish and there is time. The course will be open to schooling for horses that are competing. The course will open Friday afternoon and Saturday morning depending on the weather.
